Inflation data on Canada

Today, at 15:30 (Kiev), in Canada will be published a report on the consumer price index for December. It is expected that in December, inflation in Canada fell by 0.3%. Compared to the same period last year, inflation is expected to grow by 1.9%.
Last week, the Bank of Canada raised the interest rate in line with the forecasts of analysts. However, the central bank of Canada stated that despite the practically guaranteed increase in the interest rate in the future, some of its officials consider it necessary to maintain a soft monetary policy to support economic growth and inflation amid uncertainty about the results of the negotiations on the NAFTA treaty.
