On Monday, March 18, a small amount of news will be released, among which data on the trade balance of Japan and the eurozone are worth highlighting.

  • At 01:50 – data on the trade balance of Japan will be released: trade balance seasonally adjusted,  export’s volume (y/y) (February) and the trade balance (February).
  • At 06:30 – volume of industrial production (m/m) (January) of Japan will be announced.
  • At 12:00 – trade balance (January) in the eurozone.
  • At 14:30 – volume of foreign investment in Canadian securities will be published (January).
  • At 22:00 – Westpac consumer sentiment index will be released  (Q1) of New Zealand.

On Tuesday, March 19, the market’s attention will be focused on the RBA meeting results, employment in the UK and economic sentiment in the eurozone.

  • At 00:00 – the speech of the Deputy Head of the RBA Kent will be held.
  • At 02:30 – the RBA monetary policy meeting minutes will be published.
  • At 11:30 – an employment data in the UK will be released:  average earnings plus bonuses (January), claimant count changes  (Feb), employment change 3m/3m (m/m) and unemployment (January ).
  • At 12:00 – data on the eurozone will be released: German ZEW current economic conditions (March), German ZEW economic sentiment (March), the level of wages (y / y) (Q4) and ZEW economic sentiment.
  • At 16:00 – industrial orders (m/m) (January) USA will be announced.
  • At 23:45 – current account balance (q/q) (Q4) of New Zealand will be released.

On Wednesday, March 20, the focus of the market will be riveted to a vote in the British Parliament about the Brexit deal and the US Federal Reserve meeting.

  • At 01:50 – the Bank of Japan monetary policy meeting minutes will be published.
  • At 09:00 –  German producer price index (PPI) (m/m) (Feb) will be released.
  • At 11:30 – the UK will publish inflation data: consumer price index (CPI) (y/y) (Feb), consumer price index (CPI) (m/m) (February) and producer purchasing price index (m/m) ) (Feb)
  • At 16:30 –  crude oil stocks in the United States.
  • At 20:00 – the FOMC economic forecasts, the FOMC statement, the Fed interest rate decision will be published.
  • At 20:30 – FOMC Press Conference will be held.
  • At 23:45 – New Zealand GDP (q/q) will be published.

On Thursday, March 21, market attention will be focused on employment in Australia and the results of the meetings of the Central Bank of Switzerland and the UK.

  • At 03:30 – an employment change (Feb) in Australia will be published.
  • At 10:30 – the Central Bank of Switzerland on the interest rate decision will be announced.
  • At 11:30 – retail sales data (y/y) (Feb) in the UK.
  • At 14:00 – the Bank of England meeting results will be announced: the total amount of the Bank of England QE program (Mar) and the interest rate decision (Mar).
  • At 14:30 – the US data will be released: current account balance (Q4), initial jobless claims, Philadelphia Fed manufacturing activity  (March) and Philadelphia Fed employment index (March).

On Friday, March 22, the day is full of data on business activity (PMI) in the Eurozone and the USA. Also on this day, there are data on inflation in Japan and Canada.

  • At 01:30 – the National Core Consumer Price Index (CPI) (y/y) (Feb) of Japan will be announced.
  • At 10:30 – index of business activity in the manufacturing sector (PMI) of Germany (March) will be released.
  • At 11:00 – business activity index in the manufacturing sector (PMI) (March) in the eurozone will be released.
  • At 14:30 – an inflation data in Canada will be published: core consumer price index (CPI) (m/m) (Feb), core consumer price index (CPI) (y/y) (February), core retail sales index (m/m) (January), Consumer Price Index (CPI) (m/m) (Feb) and retail sales (m/m) (January).
  • At 15:45 –  manufacturing business index (PMI) (March) will be released in the USA.
  • At 16:00 – existing home sales  (Feb), the United States will be published.
  • At 20:00 – the US federal budget balance (Feb) will be announced.
