Expectations for the upcoming week

The beginning of the first week of May promises to be very restrained because of the holidays in several countries. At the same time, starting from Tuesday, liquidity in the market will quickly recover. Also this week is full of important statistics on business activity in the manufacturing sector, the publication of which will set the sentiments in the market.

Special attention should be paid to the results of the RBA meeting and Canada’s GDP on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the FOMC protocol will be published. On Thursday, investors will follow the data on inflation in the euro area. On Friday, the main event of the day and week will be the publication of a report on employment in the US, to which the market will be prepared throughout the week.

On the political risk side, there is a lull that positively affects risky assets and stock exchanges. Improving relations between North and South Korea also contributes to reducing geopolitical tensions in the world. At the same time, questions regarding the US trade confrontation remain open.
