FOCUS OF THE WEEK!
Dear traders,
The last week of August promises to be full of news, distributed throughout the week. But the main growth of activity on the publication of news is expected for the middle of the trading week.
Starting Tuesday, the market will expect data on inflation in the UK and data on consumer confidence in the United States. The latter can be perceived by the market especially sharply against expectations of data on US GDP. On Wednesday, the main event of the day and week will be the publication of preliminary US GDP and sales in the US real estate market.
The second half of the week will shift the focus of attention to employment in Germany and Canada’s GDP on Thursday. On Friday, the market will expect China’s business activity and preliminary data in the euro area, which, in turn, will provide a volatile closing month.
The company’s reporting calendar remains low-key.
Of the fundamental factors, the market will continue to monitor the trade confrontation between the US and China and the development of the political crisis in the US, which remains open and may affect the stability of the US dollar. (Anton Hanzenko)
